Terms of Service

1. Who we are

This service is operated by AskeEngineering, a sole proprietorship (enkeltpersonforetak) registered in Norway (“we”, “us”, “our”). Organisation number: TODO. Contact: post@askeengineering.no.

2. The service

We provide NIRWizard, desktop software for fNIRS (functional near-infrared spectroscopy) processing, analysis and visualization, licensed to you on a subscription basis. Access to the software is unlocked using a unique user key tied to your subscription.

3. Subscriptions and payment

  • Subscriptions are sold and processed through our payment provider, Polar.
  • Your subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use NIRWizard for as long as your subscription is active.
  • Prices, billing periods and applicable taxes (including Norwegian VAT/MVA where relevant) are shown at checkout.

4. Your licence key

Your unlock key is personal to you. You agree not to share, resell or publish your key, or attempt to circumvent the licensing mechanism. We may deactivate keys that are misused.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Polar; access continues until the end of your current billing period. TODO: state your refund policy and how it interacts with the EU/EEA right of withdrawal for digital goods.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use NIRWizard lawfully and not to reverse engineer, redistribute or tamper with the software except as permitted by applicable law.

7. Disclaimer

NIRWizard is provided “as is”. TODO: add warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability consistent with Norwegian mandatory consumer protections.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. TODO: confirm dispute resolution / venue.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated to active subscribers.
